Our products begin in farms that cut greenhouse gas emissions at the source.

Tallow skincare, rich chocolates and grade-A beef from big animals with a smaller methane footprint.

The Challenge:

30% of global methane emissions come from cattle.

As a heat-trapping greenhouse gas, methane is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Methane develops in the cow’s rumen, the first of four stomach compartments, through a process called enteric fermentation—microbes break down plant matter, and the gas is released by the animal through belching.

The Game Changer:

A natural livestock feed additive made from seaweed.

The cattle we use receive a small seaweed-derived feed supplement, developed and made in Canada. The additive works by affecting the chemical pathway in the rumen that normally produces high levels of methane in cows and other ruminants, including bison, sheep and goats.

Sustainabull means quality GHG-reduced products from Canadian cattle

If you see the Sustainabull logo, you're getting goods from cows with a substantially reduced greenhouse gas footprint. Because methane is such a potent climate gas, cutting it at the source makes a meaningful difference.
